Labor Can Participate
Since the McCain Feingold Bill and before Labor has been locked out of campaigning and running ads just prior to federal elections. On January 21, 2010 the Supreme Court has changed the rules. We will once again will be allowed to participate and educate the American People on what matters and during a time when it matters right before they go to the polls.
What we need to help limit is Corporate monies being spent where they have accepted bail out money. In most cases, the bail out monies went into Corporate treasuries and this money is the American People's money. We want new legislation that will protect our money from being used in this manner. Corporations should have to pay the taxpayers back before giving them cart blanche on campaigning.

Impartial Justice Law Signed
Governor Doyle Signs Impartial Justice Bill to Provide Full Public Financing of Supreme Court CampaignsMADISON – Governor Jim Doyle today signed into law legislation that will provide full public financing for Supreme Court campaigns. Senate Bill 40 creates a democracy trust fund that will provide publicly-funded grants for qualifying Supreme Court candidates who voluntarily agree to abide by a spending limit of $400,000.
“We have all seen how interest groups can sway the outcome of Wisconsin Supreme Court Cases,” Governor Doyle said. “This legislation is an important campaign finance reform that will ensure impartiality and public confidence in our state’s highest court. I have long championed this reform and I am proud to finally sign it into law today.”
Governor Doyle thanked Senators Kreitlow and Taylor, and Representatives Hintz and Hilgenberg for their work on the bill.
